What is Cordura?
Typically employed by the US military in their bags and heavy duty uniforms, Cordura has over forty five years of proven performance in many of the world’s toughest environments. I first came across Cordura fabric on the Ballistic Nylon Sk8-Hi Vans that released years back. The fact that these shoes held up to years and years of solid use, made me want to construct a product with this material some day.
Designed for living and built to last, we use 300 Denier Lightweight Cordura in our Waterproof MA-1 Jacket and 1200 Denier Heavyweight in our Waterproof Cordura Duffel Bag and Waterproof Cordura Gym Bag.
I've always been a big fan of the stylish durability and exceptional strength-to-weight ratio Cordura offers. On top of that, the material is highly resistant to tears, scuffs and abrasions (up to 4 times that of a traditional 100% cotton fabric). This means that our Cordura jacket and bag will last you throughout all of life's adventures.
Made with solution dyed yarns, the fabric is stain-resistant, and very easy to clean. Created with recycled polyester yarns that are specifically engineered for performance and durability, the process for developing these fabrics reduces energy consumption and extends the useful life of polyester.
Through our product research and manufacturing resources, we are creating apparel with very high quality standards of construction and materials. By bringing CORDURA® brand into the fold, there's a timeless partnership being born within our line.
